The work fitted in nicely with some work that our network of schools here and in Australia are doing about the 5 R's of becoming independent and self directed learners. The children then threw ideas onto a whitebaord about the way that they learn now and how they would like to see this change. The staff know we are doing this work and because we have a policy of openess and continual learning, the work is informing rather than threatening.
