NCSL (National College for School Leadership) and NET (National Education Trust) are delighted to be working in partnership on 'A Children’s Charter for Learning'. Both organisations are committed to making a difference to children's learning, in this case, by encouraging schools to listen to children’s views about what makes learning exciting.

Increasingly, and effectively, schools are listening to what children think about their school, its environment and its community.
What the Children’s Charter project is telling us is that children have very sophisticated and well-formed views on how best they learn. Surely nothing can be more important than taking these views on board as schools continue to develop.
Above and beyond the "in school" benefits of listening to the children's voice, this is a wonderful opportunity for schools to put their children's views at the forefront of their thinking about the shape and nature of a new primary curriculum.
